This is the first course of its kind on a global scale, specifically designed to prepare You to become a Posthuman Educator.
A pioneering program for those who embrace posthumanism not only as a theory, but as a transformative way of living, learning, and creating change.
Organized by the Posthuman Academy, in collaboration with the Global Posthuman Network, and the SIUA (Scuola d'Interazione Uomo-Animale), this intensive course is for anyone passionate about posthumanism.
Through world expert-led lectures, collaborative dialogue, curated readings, and personalized mentorship, the course offers a space for deep reflection and meaningful connection.
It invites You to explore how posthumanism can inform not just academic or creative projects, but the very ways we live, relate, and make sense of our place in the world.
From bioethical questions to ecological entanglements, we will engage with the evolving terrain of posthumanism—embracing how these insights can be embodied in our everyday choices, relationships, and lives.
The course "Posthuman Educator" is designed not only to disseminate knowledge but also to cultivate a qualified community rooted in posthumanist perspectives—empowered to serve as agents of cultural mediation and evolution, with concrete professional opportunities and real-world applications.

The course comprises 50 hours of training activities and a 50-hour individual final project, as detailed below. Upon completion, participants receive a final certification. In total, the course represents 100 hours of engagement, equivalent to 4 ECTS credits, which typically correspond to approximately 2.5 U.S. academic credits.
Mapping The Journey
The program is offered in a hybrid format, combining remote and in-person components, with the flexibility for participants to attend fully online and asynchronously if needed.
It is organized into eight sessions, including four thematic modules that each explore a key dimension of existential posthumanism, a keynote speech by a world-renowned scholar, two mentorship meetings offering personalized guidance on participants’ projects; and one in-person event*.
*Participation in at least one in-person event is highly recommended to foster collaborative engagement and deepen experiential learning. Alternatively, with prior Faculty approval, participants may attend a local event aligned with the Course and their posthuman project.

Modules
Each of the four modules indicated above includes the following:
Pre-recorded lectures (approx. 20 minutes each) by each module’s instructor (1 hour total each)
Total: 4 hours overall
Live Zoom sessions with each module's instructor

Live online group sessions for dialogue, reflection, and peer exchange

Each participant will have access to open office hours with the Assistant Professors, during which personalized feedback on their projects will be provided.
Assistant Professors (in alphabetic order): Rodrigo Esparza Parga, Qurratulaen Liaqat, Joanna Pascoe, Stefano Rozzoni.
There are three open office hour sessions, each lasting approximately two hours. Each participant will have about 15 minutes to share during each session.
Total: 6+ hours
Crafting Your Legacy
Throughout the course, participants will dedicate approximately 50 hours to developing an individual project that reflects their posthumanist inquiry and praxis. Participants will be supported by dedicated Faculty and benefit from the collective wisdom of their peers through office hours consultations (see above) and two group circles dedicated to project development and exchange.
By the end of the course, each participant is expected to submit a final version of their project.
This work may take a variety of forms, including but not limited to:
A multidisciplinary research
An innovative academic article blending theory and practice
A detailed documentation of a performance or installation
A technological, ecological, or social initiative designed for real-world impact
Other formats, subject to prior approval by the Faculty.

Introductory and Conclusion Ceremonies
Participants will gather at the beginning and end of the course for two ceremonial sessions. These moments are designed to offer intentional beginnings and reflective closure to the shared journey.
Total: 2 hours
In person events
Participation in at least one in-person event to foster embodied learning and deepen posthuman engagement.
Total: 10 hours
Recognition of Commitment
A Certificate of Participation honoring meaningful engagement in the theoretical and lived dimensions of Posthuman Education will be awarded to those who:
Actively participate in at least 75% of the course offerings, including both live sessions and reflective assignments.
Share a culminating project that embodies their journey by the course’s end, which is also a beginning...
